The continuous goal of our program is to maintain the integrity of the American Quarter Horse. I believe in that once in a lifetime horse and I take pride in our breeding program that makes them!
The mission of K & J Performance Horses is to breed top quality in confirmation, disposition, bloodlines, color, and fit in sound. We simply believe breeding and raising the best Quarter Horses possible is a privilege and that an honest horse, like all things in life, is the best horse.

About
It all started with a passion.
Horses have been a passion that I have had as far back as I can remember. Being raised in the city, it was quite the challenge for me to pursue my passion until I was 16 and could drive to the country. After high school, I went to Ellsworth College and acquired my A.A.S in Equine Management. From there, I continued to work with and around horses. Spending years learning to shoe and train taught me a lot about the differences in horse breeds, dispositions, temperaments, soundness and conformations. I then began to have a desire to produce a horse that is not only versatile, but user friendly. Horses that will want to please the handler and not work against them all while producing size, bone and longevity. A good breeding program is now my new passion to produce a product for a rider for life. Horses that will have heart and dedication to their rider and perform well in any and all disciplines ranging from barrel horses, cutting/roping horses, to pleasure horses.
