Our story started off with just having a few exceptional quality mares on our farm, but breeding to outside studs, I never felt like I truly knew what I was breeding to. So began our search for the perfect stallion. When Frenchmans Buzios came in my radar, I knew right away I had to have him. As fait would have it to be, we where making a trip south and just so conveniently driving by where he was. Once I laid my eyes and hands on him, I just knew I would be back to get him. He was everything and more that I was looking for in a stallion with his size, bone, quiet and willing temperament along with his athleticism. So in the fall of 2017, Frenchmans Buzios came to K&J performance horses in southeast Iowa to stand as a stud.

Frenchmans Buzios comes from a long line of proven performers. Both his sire and grandsire have money earners in excess of $40 million dollars. All of his siblings went on to be barrel money earners, including his full brother Shawnes French Bug, who was 2012 BFA World Champion Open 1D Futurity winner, an off the chart 1D performer and money earner exceeding $71,000.

Sired by $20+ million dollar sire and AQHA hall of fame inductee, Frenchmans Guy. Out of a race winning mare, Royal Chick Three, who is by Shawne Bug (OE$5.25 Million).

We believe he is an outstanding complimenting cross for any discipline, but also the ultimate outcross as well. His first foal crop hit the ground in 2019, throwing lots of color with exceptional conformation, size, and disposition. So far with his limited crop, he has several 1D performers in open and youth divisions in multiple organizations.

Frenchmans Buzios foals have the opportunity to run for over a million dollars in all of these incentives he is currently enrolled in. Which include Future Fortunes Inc, Select Stallion Stakes, Triple Crown 100, BRIF, Go for Broke Full House Incentive, Cornhuskers Futurity and MN Futurity.
